I was told by the folks we gave Pup to that he was hit by a car yesterday, playing with their kids out in their yard. He ran out into the street while a car was coming. They buried him and said that their kids where devastated by what happened, as their family was quite attached to the him.
Though I never really liked the dog, I know you all did. So, I found some pics that hopefully will help comfort you in these hard times.
Good bye pup... I am sure that many female dogs share our sentiments that a very manly well-endowed dog has left the room.

I KNOW THAT IM REALLY THE ONLY ONE WHO TRULY CARED FOR PUP AND NOBODY WILL UNDERSTAND HOW YOU COULD LOVE SUCH A STINKER..BUT THAT PUPPY WAS MY BABY AND I KNOW YOU WOULD ALL BE HURT BADLY IF ONE OF YOUR BABIES DIED!!! I WOULD LIKE TO SAY GOODBYE TO PUP.. I KNOW HE'S GOING TO BE WITH ME ALWAYS.. AND I KNOW I'LL MAKE IT THROUGH THIS HARD TIME!! THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT IN THIS TRAGIC TIME IN MY LIFE! PUP WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED IN THE HEARTS OF MANY!!! HE IS NOW IN A BETTER PLACE!!! I LOVE YOU PUP!!!

I feel your pain, Whit. I loved that little guy. He was like one of my own. I wish the circumstances had been different to where we could have kept him, but it was just too difficult. He will always be remembered and missed. I think of him, and I get a smile on my face. He was so adorable.
You will see him again someday.
